The Vader Project is a reimagining of the iconic Darth Vader helmet by some of today’s hottest underground and pop surrealist painters, artists and designers.
You can check all 100 helmets over the Star Wars Blogs Flickr page.

This playful plywood vase made in Brazil by designer Ricardo Saint-Clair features a chalkboard front that can be used for notes, drawings, quotes or anything you want. The Chalkboard Bud Vase is perfect to have fun with your decoration or to add a creative message with the flowers you give.
From the MoMA store.

The Passe Partout Clock comes with 12 individual frames that you customize by filling each of them with photographs, drawings, postcards, comics, small toys, wallpaper, dried flowers, beads or whatever you can come up with. You can also arrange the frames around the clock’s hand piece in any position you want. This way you have a totally unique clock decorating your wall.

Magnetic Pixels are magnets measuring 10mm square that can be arranged to create pixelated images which will stick to any metal surface. Each kit comes with 1400 magnets, a tray to organize them by color, a transparent grid overlay and 2 instruction sheets that give examples of superhero images and teach how to arrange the pieces to make the image yourself. You can also create whole new images with the magnets as long as you are creative enough. By Pieter Woudt.

The Personal Library Kit provides everything you need to keep track of all the titles you lend. It comes with checkout cards, date stamps, an inkpad and a mini pencil. It’s a cute way to get organized and it makes a great (and rather cheap - only $14.99) gift for bibliophiles friends.

The giant Post-It table made by designer Tom Seymour is a table topped with 5,000 sheets of paper that resembles post-its and it is actually usable for taking notes. After the sheet is completely filled you can rip it off and start a new one.
This fun table could be great for kids to doodle or to place nearby the phone where we always have to write things down and never find paper easily.

World’s Smallest Postal Service is a fantastic tiny letter transcription service by artist Lea Redmond.
Here’s how the miniature mail service works (available online): You write a letter up to six sentences and Lea will transcribe it onto tiny stationary using a microscopic ink pen. It then goes into a tiny envelope which gets addressed, receives a miniature stamp and gets sealed with a miniscule wax seal with your initial on it. The letter comes with a magnifying glass.
It’s an adorable idea for a teeny tiny gift that makes a big impression.

The Writers Block Kit is a project by NY designer Elizabeth Dilk.
After researching the many known strategies and exercises that can stimulate creativity, Elizabeth gathered several items that can boost the writers inspiration and give encouragement for them to refocus on their work and turned them into a package. One of the tools, for instance, is a box of pre-chewed pencils so you can skip the chewing and start writing.

Modern Mantra is a series of 18 pen-and-ink drawings by swedish artist Thomas Broome.
Using typography he manages to construct highly detailed room interiors.
The technique seems simple: by repeating the name of what he is drawing he forms the shape of each item. The catch is how to make it look realistic, which can only be done with a precise use of proportions and perspective.

80sTees.com is a nostalgic online retailer that sells officially licensed products inspired in cultural references from the 80’s. They have a wide selection of products but by far the coolest ones are from their Costume T-shirts collection.
Even though they are originally aimed at lazy halloweeners I say some of them can totally become a part of your everyday wardrobe, like the r2d2 and the Charlie Brown ones. Another personal favourite is their Ghostbusters shirt, the spots will glow in the dark looking like green slime splattered all over it.

Straight Line Designs is an imaginative furniture design company that produces quirky and whimsical items like the Bad Table, the Burnt Leg Table, the Canned Bench or like the amazing Pet Camper, which is a small, highly-detailed replica of a regular trailer for your dog.
Owned and operated by designer Judson Beaumont who has been greatly influenced by children and their acceptance of the bizarre, the company makes custom furniture aimed at children, movie and TV prop services, retail, and private residences.

The guys from Meninos, creators of those awesome pop-arty external hd cases are now offering wall-mountable magnetic photo boards that look just like Photoshop and Illustrator windows. Based on the CS3 Mac versions, each kit comes with a batch of magnetic palettes and toolbars to hold you pictures. It’s a good gift for designers that can’t seem to get enough of their digital lives. Available for pre-order at their shop.

Pancake Meow is an adorable line of eye-candy jewelry, made out of polymer clay in the shape of various desserts, yummy pastries and other tasty treats.
Not only are these tiny pieces incredibly realistic but they can be scented too! The stack-o-pancakes ring smells like pancake syrup, the cinnamon roll charm smells like a cinnamon roll and so on. The scents will generally last a few months before fading.

The DIY Screenprinted LCD card allows you to customize a message by coloring the letterpressed lines. Each card is debossed on 100% acid-free recycled paper and comes packaged with a kraft style envelope. Measures 7.5 x 4 inches.

Science fiction fans out there, meet the nerdbots.
Created by married couple Nicholas & Angela from Kansas City, Nerdbots are adorable robot-shaped sculptures made from old machines, antique appliance pieces and other found objects.
Each of these endearing droids is unique and comes with a different name and lovable personality. I feel like Adopting-a-bot right now.

I Heart Guts designs the cutest items featuring our internal organs.
Their original line with 8 cuddly soft plush organs is perfect for those recovering from surgery or anatomy lovers.
They also sell t-shirts with snappy catchphrases (my favourite is the Pancreas ‘Gimme Some Sugar’ shirt) and adorable stickers and buttons.

If fashion is about expression, what statement a person wearing a blimp handbag or an owl shaped purse is trying to make?
These eccentric bags were created by italian designer Carla Braccialini whose motto is ‘To create handbags as an absolute beauty concept without fear of daring, to be exclusive and bring to women the desire to play with fashion, escape banality.’
Even if they might be a bit too quirky and not exactly practical, they are definitely very unique and interesting pieces to look at.

Designed by Ran Lerner, the Doodlebook Frame allows you to display your photos in entirely personal ways. Have fun creating your own border with drawings, quotes or captions and when you get bored with the design just rip it off and start over.
Each frame comes with 80 sheets of white sketch paper (also available in multi-colored sheets) and can be either wall-mounted or placed on a table.

British photographer Robbie Cooper documented the faces children make while playing video games by placing a high res video camera behind the projected game screen then, he took stills from the footage and the resulting images became part of his aptly named project “Immersion”.
