The Vader Project is a reimagining of the iconic Darth Vader helmet by some of today’s hottest underground and pop surrealist painters, artists and designers.

This playful plywood vase made in Brazil by designer Ricardo Saint-Clair features a chalkboard front that can be used for notes, drawings, quotes or anything you want. The Chalkboard Bud Vase is perfect to have fun with your decoration or to add a creative message with the flowers you give.

The Passe Partout Clock comes with 12 individual frames that you customize by filling each of them with photographs, drawings, postcards, comics, small toys, wallpaper, dried flowers, beads or whatever you can come up with. The giant Post-It table made by designer Tom Seymour is a table topped with 5,000 sheets of paper that resembles post-its and it is actually usable for taking notes. After the sheet is completely filled you can rip it off and start a new one.
This fun table could be great for kids to doodle or to place nearby the phone where we always have to write things down and never find paper easily.
World’s Smallest Postal Service is a fantastic tiny letter transcription service by artist Lea Redmond.
Here’s how the miniature mail service works (available online): You write a letter up to six sentences and Lea will transcribe it onto tiny stationary using a microscopic ink pen. It then goes into a tiny envelope which gets addressed, receives a miniature stamp and gets sealed with a miniscule wax seal with your initial on it. The letter comes with a magnifying glass.
It’s an adorable idea for a teeny tiny gift that makes a big impression.

The Writers Block Kit is a project by NY designer Elizabeth Dilk.
After researching the many known strategies and exercises that can stimulate creativity, Elizabeth gathered several items that can boost the writers inspiration and give encouragement for them to refocus on their work and turned them into a package. One of the tools, for instance, is a box of pre-chewed pencils so you can skip the chewing and start writing.
Modern Mantra is a series of 18 pen-and-ink drawings by swedish artist Thomas Broome.
Using typography he manages to construct highly detailed room interiors.
The technique seems simple: by repeating the name of what he is drawing he forms the shape of each item. The catch is how to make it look realistic, which can only be done with a precise use of proportions and perspective.

The guys from Meninos, creators of those awesome pop-arty external hd cases are now offering wall-mountable magnetic photo boards that look just like Photoshop and Illustrator windows. Based on the CS3 Mac versions, each kit comes with a batch of magnetic palettes and toolbars to hold you pictures. It’s a good gift for designers that can’t seem to get enough of their digital lives. Pancake Meow is an adorable line of eye-candy jewelry, made out of polymer clay in the shape of various desserts, yummy pastries and other tasty treats.
Not only are these tiny pieces incredibly realistic but they can be scented too! The stack-o-pancakes ring smells like pancake syrup, the cinnamon roll charm smells like a cinnamon roll and so on. The scents will generally last a few months before fading.

Even if they might be a bit too quirky and not exactly practical, they are definitely very unique and interesting pieces to look at.
